Emily's Wedding Debut

Today was a big day in the life of little Miss Emily. My dear friend Danita got married today and Emily was the flower girl in their wedding. She rode down the aisle in a little red wagon filled with satin and white flower pedals.

She was pulled by Danita's nephews, the ring bearers.

She did exactly as she was supposed to do during the rehearsal . The first time through she dumped the whole basket of petals in one spot. The second and third times through she meticulously dropped the petals one by one.

I was a little concerned as to how she would do once all the people filled the church. I wasn't sure whether she would be going down the aisle crying or trying to climb out of the wagon. When it came time to do it "for real" , she signed and said "all done". (She had already done her job-over and over again). So as pictures will tell ... she sat back and let the boys take her for a ride (without dropping a single petal). She looked adorable and the audience loved her and the whole wagon idea.
