During the first week in August we had an opportunity to spend some time at Camp Attitude (you will find the link on the right side of the blog) here in Oregon (about an hour and half south of Salem). It is a camp specifically designed for individuals with disabilities. Everything on the grounds is fully accessible (including the hiking trails). There were campers from all over Oregon, Washington, and California. The campers and their families can enjoy the week at camp free of charge. Our church youth group members go as big buddies to them and spend the week doing activities with the campers. Emmy was the youngest camper that Camp Attitude has ever had. She loved it! She is still talking about camp and how fun it was. Next year is going to be even more fun for her (and for us) as she will be old enough to do so many more of the activities.
